Ministry of Caring for the Wider Church

Membership:

Six persons elected by the Association, Moderator, Fox Valley representatives to the Conference Council, two Fox Valley General Synod delegates

Responsibilities and Possibilities:

- Establish guidelines for congregational standing, receive and act on church requests for standing, monitor their standing and, when necessary, recommend termination of standing.

- Building connections with and among congregations, including formation of church "clusters," geographically and around shared interests..

- Linking our work with the Conference, General Synod, Church-related institutions, other denominations, and ecumenical agencies, including face-to-face meetings with representatives of these entities

- Encouraging support of CUE, CRS, the Outdoor Ministry Century Clubs, Strengthen the Church, and special appeals by approved denominational agencies.

- Facilitating, within the Association, our partnership with the Disciples of Christ, and the full communion agreement with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church (USA), and the Reformed Church in America.

- Fostering ecumenical and interfaith dialogue and cooperative efforts.
